I like to daydream, when I not yet have got
off me bed
But instead of gettin´ up, I pull up
I need a daydream, when to much load
makes me drive the car
it isn't far, but in a row, we´re cuin´up
Could have been a nice mornin´, but the
toaster broke and coffee was out
Had to get off so quickly, there was no
time to doubt,
Bout what to take with me, what will I
need
Like Public Transport means time to
read
Later that day, when I sit on the train
No mag, no book, so what comes to my
brain
Another daydream, free of rushin´ and
hustlin´ around,
in our town, to our sound, I wear a crown
I want to daydream of private property and
how I wish
that we will, one fine day clash it away
Could have been a nice evenin´, but the
music was crap and no proper drinks left.
For some unknown reason, my accompanies
wanted to rest.
So I keep on sittin´, while music´s not
hittin´
being quite humble, while he starts to
mumble
a shady old geezer said he was from pisa
my mind is floating away, to another…

Das Schwarz der Nacht ist wieder mal
dem Grauen des Morgens ausgewichen
Die Vögel zwitschern munter Guten Tag
Die Müllabfuhr dreht längst
die zweite Runde
und lärmt gegen den Morgengesang an
der Jogger vielleicht schon die zwölfte
einsam mit Stirnband auf Tartan
Die Nacht noch im Kopf doch auch schon in den Gliedern
streif ich strahlend den Alltag von Vielen
In Gedanken noch bei all den schönen Liedern
die sie hier und da gelegentlich spielen
völlig frei von allen Zielen
Der Backshop um die Ecke
backt auf seit vielen Stunden
die Auslagen gefüllt bis zum Anschlag
prasst mit Brezeln und mit Plundern
Doch der Gehweg scheint mal wieder
unbehobene Schäden aufzuweisen
Warum sonst sollte der Trupp vom Tiefbau
seine Oberfläche aufreißen
Die Nacht noch im Kopf doch auch schon in den Gliedern
streif ich strahlend den Alltag von Vielen
In Gedanken noch bei all den schönen Liedern
die wir hier und da gelegentlich spielen
